Sorry you were pained about those remarks of mine, Eddie. But I wasn't
disparaging seven years of Classroom Talk, which I think has worked *very
well*, by and large, including your many good contributions along the
way. It's my idea about a "group" within the class as a whole that I was
referring to—a real, interactive relationship among us with frank
"interventions" that can show up deeper experiences of the things I'm
teaching about,that I still don't know if we can bring off together. My
ideas for such a "live group" may simply be too ambitious to be realistic
for a gathering over the Internet. We'll see.
