Hi Pauline,

<I have just been reading about 'the tone of posts' and who takes the
responsibility the one who posts or the one who takes offense etc. etc

Great discussion point! I too recently was reading about this and it
was suggested that both have a responsibility.

The example was given of a wife who unconsciously pushes her husband's
buttons (an attack) and he reacts angrily. His button is that he is
particularly sensitive to any suggestion that he is "dumb." The article
suggested that the wife has the responsibility to wake up and stop
pushing her husband's button and maybe she can even find out why she
feels the "need" to attack him. The husband has the responsiblity of
putting his buttons out of the way in their relationship, by finding out
why is so sensitive to any suggestion that he is 'dumb." Not an easy
task for either of them even if they knowingly work together to improve
their relationship.

Wonder how that might work in this format? Would love to hear "more
later..."

All the best john the younger
