To start, thank you so very much for this post. It was inspiring and
heart warming to share in your current life experience. And the quote
from Crowfoot was an appropriate tribute to John’s shared experience
with Mindfulness IMO.
What is Life?
I have to agree with John, love is not what is so scarce anywhere in
this world. I feel that anywhere it might appear to be, would be
directly attributed to a lack of awareness.
And whither or not love is palatably experienced is specifically
linked to awareness. From my own experience anytime I have
experienced ‘love’ it has always contained a strong element of
awareness; and makes deep groves in ones memories most often
permanent.
I feel this level of ‘love awareness’ is so beautifully expressed in
the song lyrics below. As well as a gentle reminder that if (when) we
fall asleep, we “…just (wake up and) do it all again”.
“…this is how it works
You peer inside yourself
You take the things you like
And try to love the things you took
And then you take that love you made
And stick it into some
Someone else’s heart
Pumping someone else’s blood
And walking arm in arm
You hope it don’t get hard
But even if it does
You’ll just do it all again”
So ‘Life’ may just be some of the residue that’s left behind when Love
and Awareness collide?
