Hey Scot.

Again you contribute! No problems just challenges. Yes, indeed.
Thanks for keeping the discussion going.

There is another side to mindfulness which needs visiting from time to
to time which is relishing the joy that life brings amongst
the "problems." Challenges and joy seems to be intermixed and
mindfulness can heighten the joy to be found in every day living.

Last night was grandson's prom night and it was a blast. I was the
chauffer taking them to Madame Tussauds in Hollywood. His girl friend
and her extended family came to our house to do dress, make up and
pictures. The challenge of driving in Hollywood on a busy Saturday
night and the joy of seeing them excited about their evening was
heighten by being in here behind these eyes for both aspects. Might
have missed the joy had I seen the horrific traffic and sea of folks
on the streets as a problem.

My son had surgery last week to remove part of his pancreas and all
the spleen. I was with him for a week at his home to assist and had
the joy of being with his three year old twins who are both a joy and
and a challenge. There seem to be examples every day in our lives when
mindfulness helps let in and relish the joy of life that accompanies
the challenges.

All the best,

john

PS. Hey Eddie, how are you doin?
